Clootie Dumpling Flavoured Tablet
What do you get when you combine two traditional Scottish favourites - clootie dumpling and Scottish tablet? Answer: clootie dumpling flavoured tablet of course!
After much research (and plenty of volunteers who offered their services as taste testers!) Campbell’s Clooties have blended together the perfect combination of ingredients to create this delicious sweet treat - and we’re sure you’ll be delighted with the results.
All the ingredients - sugar, creamy butter, condensed and fresh milks are gently melted together and left to simmer. Next, the vanilla extract, sultanas and cinnamon are added to the mix filling the air with the sweet aroma of buttery, vanilla, cinnamon loveliness!
After the right consistency is reached, the mixture is poured into love heart shaped moulds and left to cool. When set, the texture of the tablet - firm on the outside and melt in the mouth on the inside - is just divine!
Each batch makes 5 exquisitely gift wrapped love heart shaped bars weighing approximately 300g each. An ideal gift for sharing (or just for saving till later!).
Our tablet is freshly made to order and does not contain any artificial preservatives, therefore we put a ‘best before’ date as 3 weeks from the day it is made.
